The HHA Wedding Venues in London

Spencer House was built in 1756-66 for John, first Earl Spencer, an ancestor of Diana, Princess of Wales (1961-97). Situated in the heart of St James’s, Spencer House is a short distance from St James’s Palace, Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Westminster. It features a splendid terrace and garden with magnificent views of The Green Park.

Fulham Palace, the historic home of the Bishops of London, has four rooms that are licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships. The Great Hall features beautiful wooden panelling and a gothic fireplace. Bishop Terrick’s Drawing Room, an elegant room with a classical ornate ceiling, has views over the south lawn. The Bishop Terrick Dining Room, with its tall Georgian windows and feature fireplace, is ideal for intimate ceremonies. Bishop Sherlock’s Room is a light and airy room with large windows and a magnificent Rococo ceiling.

The Queen’s House, commissioned in 1616 by Anne of Denmark (wife of James I), is the first purely classical building in Britain. Now part of the National Maritime Museum, The Queen’s House is a superb setting for wedding events, in keeping with its original role as a “House of Delights”.

Syon House, in Syon Park, as been the family home of the Duke of Northumberland for over four hundred years. Surrounded by its own parkland, with Kew Gardens across the Thames, it is hard to believe that Syon is barely 10 miles from central London. The magnificent Great Hall and the beautiful State Dining Room are available for civil ceremonies.

Strawberry Hill House is Britain’s finest example of Georgian Gothic Revival architecture. It began life in 1698 as a modest house, later transformed into ‘a little Gothic castle’ by Horace Walpole, the son of England’s first Prime Minister. The Gallery is a truly unique setting with its fan vaulted ceilings, golden canopies and crimson damask.
